David J. Schaefer

David has over 30 years of experience in derivatives trading, risk management, and marketing financial products. He began his career in New York as a derivatives risk manager at Bank of America.  In 1999, he was transferred to Singapore to manage the derivatives trading team brought on to stabilize the region after the Asian Financial Crisis.

At the start of 2004, David returned to New York to join ABN Amro’s Derivatives Marketing and Sales Team. Following RBS’s acquisition of ABN, his role expanded to cover a broad range of financial products, servicing central bank, private equity firm and hedge fund clientele. During his tenure, he developed an expertise in finding innovative solutions and fostering strong client relationships across a wide range of financial products.

Outside of finance, David enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle and spending time with his wife and 3 children. He is an avid skier and lacrosse player.

He is a FINRA-license holder of the Series 7 & 63 securities licenses.
